Cake!

My Missouri Master Naturalist Chapter celebrated its 20th anniversary recently decorated with butterflies, dragonflies and flowers. There was a cake that was big enough to feed 100 people! Half was chocolate…the other vanilla. There was a little left that was given to the night staff at our meeting place!

I have been the president of the chapter since July and a member since 2024. There are still a few members from the original class that are still active – I rely on them and other long-term members to understand the history.   I’ve spent more focus so far on the path forward for the chapter…holding the core training this fall and maneuvering to get the leadership team back to an annual rhythm. I like using my singing bowl bell to get the group’s attention rather than yelling!
