Plastic Crisis - Potluck Event

I recently went to a potluck event and realized that there are quite a few people bringing dishes in metal or glass rather than plastic! Most of the dishes still have plastic lids – but still, the direction is encouraging. The (catered) barbeque came in a foil container with a cardboard top. Note that the serving pieces are metal too!

The host provided paper plates (maybe plastic coated) but one family brought their own plates and utensils just as my daughter and I did.

Everyone had their own water reusable bottles since it was a very hot day. There were very few single use cans or plastic bottles.

The trash and recycle kitchen sized bins did not overflow!
