Flowers of Fall

It’s November and we still have flowers in our yard!

The very tall goldenrod that I cut last July before the flower buds appeared is short (about 3 feet tall)…with lots of yellow flowers for pollinators that are still around.

There are still a few asters as well with bumblebees.

A few violets are blooming – not as many as in the spring but a few flowers. Now that it is not as hot and dry some of the violet beds seem to be greener too!

The roses have recovered as well – are blooming again.

Next year I hope to have more goldenrod and asters. I’ll be cutting them all in June so that they will not be so tall that they topple over!
